Your 2025 Cadillac includes a wide range of advanced safety features to protect you from accidents and make driving safer and easier. As your Cadillac dealership, we want to tell you about some of the systems you may find in your vehicle.

3 Advanced Safety Features in the 2025 Cadillac Lineup in houma louisiana

Lane Change Alert With Side Blind Zone Alert

When changing lanes, you can’t always see if another vehicle is approaching in that lane. Despite checking your side and rearview mirrors, there are always blind spots that you can’t check. This system protects you from accidents when you change lanes, as it warns of oncoming vehicles so you have enough time to turn back into your original lane or brake to prevent a collision.

It uses radar sensors concealed in the rear corners of your Cadillac to monitor either side of your vehicle. If something is detected, an amber warning light shaped like a car with a dented star next to it will appear on the corresponding side mirror. If you’re actively changing lanes, the warning icon will flash, and a warning tone sounds to alert you of the danger so you can take evasive action.

Rear Cross Traffic Braking

When you reverse, this system activates and uses specialized sensors to scan the areas to the left and right behind your vehicle. These sensors can identify an approaching vehicle you might not have seen. If something is detected, red warning triangles will appear on the rear camera view on your dashboard, and an arrow will point in the direction of the approaching vehicle.

If you continue to move after the warning, you’ll hear warning beeps, and your seat may vibrate in the approaching vehicle’s direction. If you don’t hit the brakes, automatic braking engages and stops your Cadillac almost instantly to prevent a collision or reduce the damage caused.

Super Cruise

This feature takes the strain out of driving long distances, as your Cadillac can drive itself on over 750,000 miles of roads in the US and Canada. To enjoy hands-free driving, you need to activate Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)with the button on your steering wheel. You can then set your cruise speed and the distance to maintain behind other vehicles.

When ACC is active, a white icon will appear on your instrument cluster. Push the Super Cruise button on your steering wheel to activate the system, and a green bar will appear on the top edge of your steering wheel. Super Cruise uses real-time Lidar, radar, and cameras to guide your vehicle and will accelerate or apply the brakes when needed.
